INTRODUCTION CLASS (essentials)

Gonstead Essentials is the first in a series of four classes that comprise the Gonstead Seminar of Chiropractic. It begins with a brief introduction of the Gonstead Technique.

One of the most important aspects of this system is the ability to know what a subluxation is and to understand it's neurology. This facilitates the ability to find a subluxation. Spinal examination is an integral part of this class and involves essentials of instrumentation, static palpation and motion palpation.

The Gonstead listing system and spinal biomechanics are covered in detail along with the utilization of x-rays to determine the best way to give an adjustment and evaluate the spine from a postural consideration.  Motion palpation listing is also covered.

The Gonstead adjustment is explained from the neurological aspect of how it works and what gives it it's efficacy.  Managing the adjustment is covered as to when, where, and how often it should be delivered.  Disc degeneration, and how to adjust and manage various degrees of it are discussed.
